I highly recommend you watch this by a British couple who've already lived 9 years in Portugal. I am sure many people have no clue about this and they might be up for a big surprise.

You're right, many people have no clue about that. Others know about it but chose to ignore it. The house that I'm helping with is a large family home, no ambiguities regarding it's intended purpose.

Glad to read that because I wouldn't want to see you have to leave your space because you wouldn't be aware of that. All this hard work you two have put in so far... I feel better :)

As a Dog admire I wish you all the best with this new boy, what is his name ?

Looking at his eyes he seems soft from nature and looks like a wise developing friend. It's very good that if you want to feel him safe with the sheeps that you introduce him as you mentioned first on the lead and I guess the sheep are used to the former dog so it will not be very stressfull for them. What is see from the photo that he has a nice bone structure and curious what breeds are in him, Lab maybe also. Please update and post about this new friend! All goods from Belgium.

He definitely looks like he has Lab in him 🙂 I grew up with Labradors in the family. I was surprised when I saw him though, the picture makes him look bigger than he is. He's actually tiny and his mum is also smaller than I expected. I don't think that the sheep are familiar with dogs, so it's good that I have a pen for them so I can test how this new dog reacts to them off the lead, but separated by a fence. We're going to call him Flóki, inspired by our years living in Iceland.

Evening Zak, thank you for responding. Oke I didn't know that the sheep weren't familiar with dogs, sorry for that and I agree to introduce Flóki on the lead. You know what his name is meaning also....Wool and for me wool is sheep....Wow so curious how this all develop in the future. Yes it seems for me also the footage makes him bigger and there is Labrador whitin him for sure.....this all has a purpose also in regard to your early childhood. Just trust him although he is young....this boy is for me a older soul.
